WHAT OUR GUESTS THINK ABOUT RORKE’S DRIFT LODGE?
Great service, wonderful location and fantastic accommodation. MB, Lichfield U.K.
Thank you for your hospitality. We would have liked to stay longer! CW. Kampala, Uganda.
RDL is in a category of its own, providing lodge accommodation of the highest standard that one could expect, but at a price and value that one will very rarely find. Characterful lodges in the grounds are served by a central bungalow, with expansive views of over 50kms into Zululand. The evening meals combine high quality home cooking, generous glasses of wine and wide ranging conversation.
The tour of nearby sites (Isandlwana, Rorke’s Drift and Fugitive’s Drift) is conveyed through an enthralling, detailed and multi-themed account of the train of events of the period and the specific days of action only partially represented in the celebrated films, Zulu and Zulu Dawn.
Paul and Christine Lamberth’s "RDL" is recommended without reservation as representing the highest quality and value, proving that the tourist does not need to spend R1 000 a night to experience this great country at its best. Andrew Oliver, Exeter, U.K.
