About us: The lodge was opened in October 2003 and is personally run by Christine and Paul. Our staff compliment is 1.5 persons per bed. We are currently members of Ladysmith Tourism and Tourism kwaZulu-Natal as well as The Nguni Route (Open Africa). Our insurers are SA Mutual (Lloyds) and BB Sure. We are now also an AA Recommended Establishment.Accommodation: Two secluded en-suite rooms and one family suite tastefully decorated in a Contemporary African style. The family suite has a bath and separate toilet while the two rooms have showers. The Lodge sleeps eight guests. Two double and two twin units. Our farm track ensures seclusion and exclusivity without interference from noise or light pollution. No cell phones. Tours: Registered site guide KZN 0929 (in house and local guides) specializing in the battles of Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift. Flexible to suit any need, both in price and party. Tour groups ranging from one to a bus load. From school kids to senior army officers, mums, dads and children. Our location gives us the edge to compete.
Services: Picnic/light lunches for tour groups at Rorke's Drift Museum or at the lodge ("combi" groups only...track is not suitable for busses)
Packages: We have another property in the family namely, The Golf House at Prince's Grant. We offer exclusive Battlefield, Bush, Beach, Golf packages. See our packages for more detail.
General: We can assist in additional arrangements in the area such as other specialized battlefield tours, cultural and nature tours, game drives, stargazing, San Rock Art, working farm visits, white water rafting (in season) and hiking trails.
